About us

Picture
Rampaging out of the south west, IRIE FIRE, an eight piece reggae fusion band are here to entertain you and to spread our passionate vibes far and wide.

The band formed in 2017 through good friends who have different backgrounds and careers, but who all love to play music together. From the beginning we spent lots of time writing beautiful reggae music, whilst pushing our boundaries further away from our west country base and representing our Somerset roots.

In summer 2018, we released our debut, self titled album, which has sold over 100 CDs and has had thousands of streams on Spotify and other platforms, and good reactions from music industry professionals. This led to a summer packed full of fantastically received festival performances and gigs,
giving us more confidence and a platform to grow as a band.

2019 IRIE FIRE saw a line up change and we enjoyed nurturing and developing our sound as a band and writing new music together. We then released a summer single ‘Late of the Night’ with a self-made music video. During lockdown in 2020 we wrote a song called ‘Positive Day’ and created a video in isolation. Once we were able to, we got back into the studio to record our new EP ‘Set Sail’ which has recently been released and we were really lucky to still play some shows during summer/autumn 2021 and reignite our flame and keep the file burning!

We have had the pleasure of supporting some amazing bands such as Katchafire, The Skatalites, Lee Scratch Perry, Raging Fyah and Aswad. We love getting out on the festival circuit in the Summer months and are looking forward to what the future might hold! IRIE FIRE can promise you a set that will brighten your souls with their luscious vocals, hair raising horn riffs, shredding guitar solos and the infectious grooves of the rhythm section. With songs full of hooks and riffs and new songs on their way, we guarantee you’ll be up on your feet, vibing with our reggae beat.

We've had a couple of line up changes recently and we thank Alen and Paul for their input and creativity in the band and wish them well in the future. We are delighted to welcome Colin on board and are really excited to get writing new material for you ll to get your teeth stuck into coming soon later in the year.
We hope to see you at an event soon!
